Dan Fogelberg

We lost Dan Fogelberg two years ago today. He is not in my book because he passed away a few weeks after it cam out. I was really hoping he could beat the cancer and be with us and writing music for years to come.

Today's deal is special...

August 13, 1951 - December 16, 2007

I have a 16x20 print of this picture that I personally printed back in the mid-seventies. Only one. I may have printed it as a double image. It's mounted and has no border so I would be happy to sign the mounting on the back as an 'artist proof'. It will be a one-of-a-kind. If you are a huge Dan Fogelberg fan and would like to own this original print email me at info@cheshercat.com and we can discuss price. If someone is interested I'll need to pull it out of the vault and confirm how I printed it.

In the mean time, listen to the rhythm of the falling rain...

Dan Fogelberg

Happy Birthday to Dan Fogelberg. He would have been 58 today.

Dan Fogelberg live with Tim Weisberg (they made some great music together)...

Dan Fogelberg passed away after EISID was published but will continue to be honored on this blog and hopefully a part of a future new media version of my book.

Dan Fogelberg

This is not the news I want to bring you.

Guitarist, singer, songwriter and environmentalist Dan Fogelberg passed away at 6am EST yesterday, Sunday, December 16th after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 56.

I had the privilege of photographing him in the Spring of 1974 at the Vancouver Gardens when he opened for the Eagles. I had the opportunity to meet him once more at an after-concert party at Chasen's in Los Angeles. He was as nice as he was talented.

I was aware that Dan was ill while I was working on Everybody I Shot Is Dead and was really happy that he was fighting the good fight against the cancer by the time I put the book to bed. The last thing I wanted to do was add him to the book. Now that he's gone I wish there was a way to add him...he so deserves to be honored.

Here is one the the photos from the Vancouver show, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite pictures.

Rest in Peace.
