Marc Bolan Again
This is what I think sucks. Two weeks ago was the 31st anniversary of Marc Bolan's death. And today is the 61st anniversary of his birth. I've said I before and I'll say it again...I really don't like it when people die right before their birthday. It just doesn't seem fair. Especially for Marc. Two weeks before the big 3-0.
Now that I got that out of the way, please sing a Happy Birthday to Marc. Out loud. So he can hear you. Loud, like he's singing in this photo...

Nice to see this when so many have fogotton Marc and the contributions he made to music, music which old fans still enjoy and music which gathers new fans. TAG is the meeting place for many fans and that´s where I found this link.
Thanks Cheshire Cat :-) I expect some people won't know that the 'eat a peach' film was filmed in Marc's last home which is less than a mile from 'The Bolan Tree' so it is all the more tragic that they were so close to home. However, I'm pleased to say that Marc is Officially recognised by the English Tourist Board (Enjoy England) via 'The Bolan Tree' which they list as his Shrine. As an 'original' fan (from 1970 onwards) I'm pleased that through the work of TAG which I founded in 1999 we've been able to care for the site and make it the fitting tribute which the English Tourist Board felt they could recognise :-)
Thanks, Cheshire Cat! I have always loved "The Peach Film", and Marc is my all-time favorite musician. Sexy, gorgeous and talented. You're right, life can be so unfair...Keeping a little Marc in my heart!
