The Iceman

It's Albert Collins' 76th birthday today.

Nobody's cooler than the Iceman.

You can all chill to this...

Happy Birthday to the cool of cool.

I just finished reading your blog... I did photography for 8 yrs(not to your level) and quit about a two years ago...right after my then 4yr old began to have siezures. By January 08 he was having between 80-100 per day. On Meds they are about half that. He will have an intracrainial EEG put on next Tuesday morning, video monitored, and many test ran. (All with IEEG attached directly to his brain) Then he will go back to OR and have the IEEG removed and they will also remove part of his brain that is damaged.

I Loved you description of the words "Brain Surgery". It is one of the most helpless feelings to know your childs brain will be touched...muchless operated on. Life does suck!

Thank you for being open and writing about your daughter. She will be in my prayers.

I also will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Mom to Mom...I believe God will take care of him, but I'm SO SO scared!

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. It is very scary but it's also amazing how talented the doctors are and what they can do.

I'm sure it will be hard to keep a brave face up so he won't be scared. I can only suggest that you keep the benefits of the procedures he will go though in mind. Think about how great his life will be when he is seizure-free.

I wish you and your son all the best for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Please let me know how it goes and if you need an online hug or someone to vent to, feel free to email me (see my profile page).

PS. I hope you'll pick up your camera again. Mine really helped through the whole ordeal as you'll see when I get back to posting the rest of our brain surgery story.
