Sun Dawn

I believe this is the 7th day of my fledgling blog and I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has stopped by for a visit and especially those of you who are regulars. My readership has been growing steadily and I hope that means that you are finding the posts interesting. Please feel free to comment or email and let me know if there's something you want to hear about.

I especially want to give props to Dawn Eden over at Dawn Patrol for recommending my blog. All I can say is, "Thanks for the traffic." If you arrived here from her blog, "Welcome" and I hope you'll continue to stop by. Those who don't know Dawn, check her out. I have no idea how to create a link under a word to get you there, this is her blog address: http://www.dawneden.com/blogger.html

If someone can tell how to do that, I would be a happy blogger. Also need to learn how to create the RSS feed thing. Wow, now you know what a techno genius I am. Not.

I hope this shows up.

The tag to make a link is

< a href="URL" >WORDS YOU WANT TO APPEAR< /a > except with the URL you're linking to instead of URL, no space after the <'s, and no space before the >'s. I put those spaces in there in order to avoid making an actual hyperlink appear instead of the code. Let's see if this is visible.

Thanks, Kirsten. Do I just do that in the create a post box?

Let me try it here:

Everybody I Shot Is Dead

IT WORKS. Even I can do it. Wow, Kirsten, you are super-awesome. What can I do for you?

Thank you! It was freebie.

Here's maybe another freebie- I use blogger, not blogspot, but I think they are probably very similar since they merged. I don't know what blogspot's interface looks like, but in blogger there is a tab called "Settings". When I click on that tab, I get a page with a series of links directly below the tab. One of those links is called "Site Feed". When I click on that link, it takes me to a page that gives me the option of publishing a canned blogger feed. I just had to fill in about five fieds and voila! I had a feed. Does blogspot have something like that?

Thanks for all your info. I looked at the settings and I guess it was set up automatically, nothing to really fill out. But then I added a preset link that now shows up at the bottom of the blog. Still have no idea if and how it works and actually what it does.

I was hoping it was something readers could sign up for so they are notified by email when there's something new on the blog.

I hate being technically challenged!

I don't really get how RSS feeds work (which is why I was driven to go find a canned one), but yours looks just like mine and I've been told by someone that mine works. That's about the extent of my RSS feed knowledge. I don't really know how to subscribe to one although I think that *might* require some sort of RSS feed reader program to do that. I'm just babbling now- I don't really know what I'm talking about anymore. :-)
