I will always remember him for how sweet he was to me when I photographed him backstage. He wasn't concerned about himself or how he'd look in the photos. He just wanted to be sure I was happy and got what I wanted. Incredibly accommodating. Unfortunately, I screwed up the pictures. As a purist, I never wanted to use a flash - especially for live performances...never, never, never - but on this occasion I really needed to use a flash, but for some reason I didn't. The result was negs too thin to print.

Okay, here you go...this is the first time this photo has seen the light of day. It's not as bad as I thought it was...I kinda wish I had included it in my book.
